Do Miraculous Healings Exist?
On Edgar Cayce, quantum physics, and A Course in Miracles — exploring the principles behind transformations that defy conventional explanation

According to Edgar Cayce, phenomena described as miraculous do not necessarily violate the laws of nature, but rather reflect dimensions of a reality that remains insufficiently understood within current scientific models. What is commonly interpreted as a miracle may represent the manifestation of principles or interactions not yet fully integrated into contemporary models of consciousness, biology, and energy. Cayce proposed four fundamental principles associated with what he described as miraculous healing.
1. The Law of Recognition
This refers to the recognition that human beings are expressions of a unified field of Universal Consciousness, temporarily identified within the limitation and fragmentation of human experience. At a fundamental level, the individual is not an isolated entity existing independently within a hostile environment, but part of an interconnected system originating from a common Source. Healing begins when belief in separation from Source is reduced, allowing awareness to reconnect with the deeper state of wholeness and coherence.
2. The Law of Frequency
Healing requires resonance with the frequency of physiological and psychological coherence. States associated with fear, guilt, anger, hopelessness, resentment, and chronic stress are interpreted as low-frequency emotional patterns that contribute to systemic dysregulation within the mind-body system. In contrast, emotional states such as compassion, gratitude, trust, peace, and harmony are associated with higher levels of psychophysiological coherence and energetic stability. Healing is not exclusively a biochemical process but also a transformation in consciousness, perception, and energetic organization.
3. Healing Occurs in the Present
Transformation cannot occur in projected psychological time because direct experience exists only in the present state of awareness. Cognitive processes often postpone healing into the future, while measurable transformation becomes possible only when attention, awareness, and intention are fully integrated in the present moment. The “now” functions as the primary field through which psychological, physiological, and energetic reorganization can occur.
4. Healing Emerges When Resistance Is Zero
Persistent emotional resistance amplifies the condition being resisted by continuously reinforcing associated neural, emotional, and physiological patterns. Chronic fear, internal conflict, and attachment to suffering may sustain dysregulation within the nervous system and body. Surrender, in this context, does not imply passivity or resignation, but the reduction of psychological conflict, fear-based attachment, and internal fragmentation, thereby allowing adaptive transformation and self-regulatory mechanisms to emerge naturally. Simply put: whatever you resist persists; whatever you surrender transforms.
Quantum Physics
Within Quantum Physics, classical notions of absolute separation become increasingly inadequate at microscopic scales. Quantum systems are described through probabilistic wave functions existing within interconnected quantum fields. Phenomena such as quantum superposition and quantum entanglement indicate that particles may remain correlated across distance in ways that challenge classical assumptions regarding locality and separateness.
Some well known principles of quantum physics are:
Quantum Superposition: a physical system—like an electron or an atom—can exist in multiple states or configurations simultaneously.
Quantum entanglment: a physics phenome non where two or more particles become interconnected so that the state of one instantly dictates the state of the other, no matter how far apart they are.
Double-slit experiment: subatomic objects change behavior based on whether they are being watched or not.
If such principles are interpreted analogically in relation to human experience, consciousness and perception may be viewed as active components influencing the organization and interpretation of reality. Beliefs, emotional states, expectations, and cognitive frameworks appear capable of influencing not only psychological experience but also physiological responses through mechanisms involving neurobiology, stress regulation, perception, and behavioral adaptation. Reality therefore appears less rigidly objective and more dynamically interactive than earlier mechanistic models suggested.
This perspective opens the possibility that healing cannot be understood exclusively through reductionist biological mechanisms, but may also involve informational, energetic, psychological, and consciousness-related dimensions. If consciousness influences physiological organization, then transformations in consciousness may contribute to changes within the body itself.
A Course in Miracles
According to A Course in Miracles, healing occurs when the individual recognizes their essential unity with the Source. From this perspective, the perception of separation constitutes the primary cognitive distortion underlying suffering. Illness is interpreted not merely as a physical dysfunction but as the body’s expression of our belief in separation from oneness.
The body reflects patterns occurring within consciousness. When the mind perceives itself as disconnected from love, unity, meaning, or its deeper nature, psychological fragmentation manifests as suffering. Healing therefore involves more than symptom reduction; it involves a transformation in perception and awareness. Fear is replaced by coherence, and separation by unity. In this state, the individual no longer experiences themselves as isolated, powerless, or incomplete, but as part of an interconnected totality.
My Personal Experience
We are all connected. I practice EFT and Optimal EFT with individuals located thousands of kilometers away, originating from different cultures, religions, and national backgrounds. In many cases, reductions in anxiety, emotional distress, and physical discomfort were reported, alongside improvements in overall psychological well-being. Geographical distance, language, and cultural differences did not appear to significantly interfere with the therapeutic process.
Healing others, I also heal myself. The more healing support I provide to others, the more I experience psychological and emotional healing within myself. The therapeutic process appears mutually interactive rather than unidirectional. This experience resembles, at least metaphorically, the principle of quantum entanglement, in which systems remain correlated despite spatial separation.
Miracles happen when we dissolve our ego in oneness. During healing sessions, states of compassion, focused intention, and sustained awareness appeared to generate a shared relational field characterized by emotional openness and psychological release. Within this state, fear diminishes, emotional tension softens, and greater clarity emerges. The healing effect appears to arise not exclusively from the technique itself, but from the quality of connection and coherence established between individuals.
Conclusion
From this perspective, what is fundamentally required for so-called miraculous healing is the dissolution of the perception of separation. The belief that the individual is isolated from Source, from others, and from their deeper nature appears to function as a central mechanism underlying suffering.
This perception of separation is reinforced through persistent negative cognitive and emotional patterns, including fear, guilt, anger, shame, hopelessness, resentment, and self-rejection. Such states strengthen the experience of fragmentation and disconnection from meaning, coherence, and inner stability.
Methods such as EFT and OEFT may therefore function by facilitating the gradual reduction of emotional distress and maladaptive belief structures. As emotional burdens decrease, psychophysiological regulation improves, cognitive rigidity softens, and greater emotional openness becomes possible. Over time, the individual may increasingly experience themselves as the expression of a unified field of consciousness or Universal Love.
Ultimately, health, abundance, body, mind, and consciousness may be interpreted not as isolated systems but as interconnected expressions of a unified process. Illness, within this framework, represents a state of informational, emotional, or existential incoherence resulting from disconnection from one’s deeper nature. The greater the disconnection from awareness of unity, the greater the probability of imbalance and suffering. Conversely, the restoration of coherence, connection, and alignment appears associated with increased harmony, psychological stability, and the emergence of miraculous healing processes.
