EFT & OEFT

What is Optimal EFT?

The spiritual dimension of EFT — guided meditation, surrender to the Unseen Therapist, and healing beyond the reach of the five senses

Optimal EFT (OEFT) is the spiritual dimension of EFT  (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and, in my opinion, is the most advanced approach that exists today in the field of drug-free therapies. Just as standard EFT, Optimal EFT, OEFT was introduced by Gary Craig.

From a procedural point of view, the techniques being used are the same (the tell the story technique, the movie technique, the tearless trauma technique, the chasing the pain technique, and others). The main difference  between OEFT  Optimal EFT and mechanical or standard EFT is that, instead of tapping on acupuncture points, OEFT  uses focused meditation on negatively charged life events.

How OEFT Works

Resolution in OEFT is achieved by surrendering to what Gary Craig called “The Unseen Therapist”—the spiritual healing energy of Love that we all have within us and that we can access through certain techniques. The idea behind this concept is that there are only two states of being—either to seek love from others in various ways, or to be, radiate, or share love—and that, when you realize this, you will discover that illness is essentially one of the many mistaken, desperate ways people use to seek love.

Thus, if we replace negative “frequencies” of sadness, anger, fear, etc. with the “frequencies” of Love, we gradually gain emotional release and improve our symptoms. In other words: what we call illness is nothing more than a symptom that takes different forms in each person. The root cause, however, is usually one and the same: negative, suppressed emotions and unresolved conflicts that separate us from oneness.

This oneness is Love in its full, spiritual, selfless expression. It has also been given other names in various cultures throughout the centuries, such as God, the Holy Spirit, Spirit, Universal Energy, Qi, Prana, and many more.

A Spiritual Explanation

In experienced hands, EFT in all its forms is a powerful tool. Optimal EFT, in particular helps achieve remarkable results because it is based on an aspect of reality beyond the narrow, limited scope of the five senses.

Since the practitioner will identify with the client during the meditation and surrender to the Unseen Therapist himself, healing can occur even without any meditative power of the client. This aligns with the idea presented by quantum physics, that separation as in the world revealed to us by our five senses, is an illusion. At a deeper level, everything is one.

EFT/OEFT and Other Therapies

Before dedicating myself to EFT/OEFT, I explored many alternative practices such as bioresonance, acupressure, cannabis, energy patches, various herbs, and food supplements to address my own health issue.

My experience is that everything can help to some degree—but if we do not resolve our overt and hidden negative emotions and beliefs, nothing truly changes. We may experience temporary relief, but that is all, and we remain dependent on a device, a pill, or a form of medication.

Our belief system—what Gary calls our “writing on our walls”—is closely linked to our negative emotions and our ideas about ourselves. This is what we have to change.

Because whatever we believe, we perceive—and whatever we perceive, we create.

This is where EFT/OEFT comes in: to help us resolve negative, low-frequency emotions and replace limiting beliefs with new, positive ones. Or, in other words, to shift from craving for love to realizing: “I am love.” This is the key to raising our frequency and living the life we desire.

So my approach is to use EFT/OEFT as the foundation. If we feel the need, we can combine it with any alternative or even mainstream treatment as complementary support.
